With the right anoints, even just a regular Stranglegrasp can be worth it for some builds. You can save so many travel points on the tree that it can easily yield more stats than anything your average amulet can roll. Unless you're rich enough to go for +2 gem amulets and such. And +1% max res is just very nice.
